I thought client states paid tribute every turn.

I've had close to twenty, and have yet to get tribute from any of them. Read that the AI set this amount at the time of diplomacy.

They do. It's not much, but you have to go into the advanced income and expenditures tab.

well when I look at the agreement, (holding cursor over the type of agreement symbol), under diplomacy, it says "0" amount earned per turn

It doesnt tell you the tribute they pay in the base deplomacy, you need to go into the income statistics to see it, should be like 10% of the clients income, so its not much at all anyway.

Anyone became someones client state??? :) maybe thats game over but it would be something different
