True dat. ROTK is much more focused on the prowess of individual generals, rather than army might as a whole. See also: Dynasty Warriors.
Is it that hard for you to believe they very well could have 100k 5 years from now? if you havent noticed there is a time game between total war games. Their engine will only get better and better.
romance of the three kingdoms is a story... not reality, so to say it was focused on prowess of generals is far fetched and dramatised. the three kingdoms period was ones
of chinas most bloody eras.
2/ Did you play ROTK series? Want to see in a battle, enemy general stands before the city gate, shout out that "*&)^)&)&)* monkey come out duel with your grandfather?" and your stupid general comes out to die, one by one...many other specific actions can not fit the TW series.
The most famous and enjoyable of TR battle is trap and foul, weaker beat the stronger, mostly based on special terrain. But the Total war is not that style, do you think TW fans want need that. They want build an army, deploy and war; Not stupid rush in specific terrain to be trapped. And without that specific battle, do you call it Three Kingdoms. Don't drink coffee with salt. Mongol or Huns are better choice, better battle ground, more cultures. If you want ask the Rome 1 Three Kingdoms mod team make a Rome 2 mod about Three Kingdoms.
I don't think anyone doesn't think that it's just a story loosely based on a historical period. I mean the Dynasty Warriors franchise basically shows just that... it's exaggerated and it's fun.
First section was a little racist/uncalled for... but disregarding that, I do agree the ROTK style is much more suited for RPG than RTS. If only KOEI would make it more RTS...
1)Wow, way to be extremely rascist, that aside, that in no way has anything to do with the total war series.
2)Yes, I have played DW:RoTK, but unlike you, I realize it's a dramatized story, not actual history. Like OP said, the Three Kingdoms era was one of the most bloody in Chinese history.
