Egypt Greek what?!?!?!?

Ptolamy embraced the Egyption culture and religion, so why is Egypt Greek. They should have have their own culture and religion because they did historically. I think its just laziness on CA's part.

PS. My first game was Rome 1, I'm not a ♥♥♥♥ that started playing now and is complaining about stuff that isnt CA's fault, I'm a veteran of the series

in rome 1 they did egypt totaly wrong for fanboys like you. they made it "the mummy returns" style and it was just wrong. at that time egypt was greek and its military was greek with some native support. alexander took over egypt and his general ptolomy after him. the greeks ruled the natives. CA did a great job on them this time. much like how egypt was potrayed in europa barbarorum mod for rome 1.

Lol, Egypt was ruled by greeks and they very much so brought their culture and built the city of alexandria on greek styling. The Ptolamy's merged the egyptian and greek cultures to some extent but the reality is the egyptian culture never recovered after alexanders conquest and was in a slow death spiral from that time forward.
