HOW TO: Fix camera in Campaign mode

Here's a fix that should get rid off the bugged camera in Rome2's campaign mode.

First of all, get the EditSF program. http://optimate.dl.sourceforge.net/project/packfilemanager/EditSF/EditSF%201.0.7.zip

Extract it somewhere and start it.

Find your savegames by pressing the Windows key and typing %appdata% into the search bar.
Press enter. Roaming -> The Creative Assembly -> Rome 2 -> save_games(_multiplayer)
Extract the newest file to your desktop or somewhere else convenient.

Now press open in EditSF and open your savegame.

In your save file go to COMPRESSED_DATA -> CAMPAIGN ENV -> CAMPAIGN_CAMERA_MANAGER

Do NOT (!) doubleclick on the camera manager, just click once. Change the "Type 'System.UInt32'" from 0 to 1. (should be 0 if the camera doesn't work properly)
Click somewhere else so it actually saves the change. Should be marked red then.

Save, put the savegame where it belongs, start the game, load the save, find yourself somewhere at the very SW (or somewhere else) end of the map but WITH A WORKING CAMERA!

press alt _tab then adjust resolution to fit the screen projected after u press the alt+tab when u shroll the mouse point adjust it to the edge of the screen u havin trouble with thats if the solution u offered didnt work for some its prmitive answer and will get fully fixed

doesnt work for me, game crashed when save is loaded (this is for EMpire total war)

If I need to download a random editor to fix it, I'm glad I don't have that problem.

yeah apparently its a well known problem....affects all games.... Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane....

Not sure if the Editor is compatible with Empire or what other complications Empire might have compared to Rome2.

This is where I'm having trouble, can anyone tell me how to do this please? I can't seem to get the save_game out of the editsf file; it only opens it into the editsf whenever I try to move it. As a result I can't play Rome right now, all it keeps telling me is "app is already running"

I posted an update somewhere else i think in the empire forum....there is a specific version of it you need to use for empire....1 .4.6 i think...not sure for rome 2

Unfortunately this didn't worked for me ... tried on two different broken save games.

Quite the opposite - my initial problem was inverted camera (facing east instead of north), now i have camera that still faces east, but is not moving also...

Paying for this game is a nasty highway robbery. Thanks god I bought it in cut-rate sale package with Rome I, Medieval II and Shogun II.

After searching for several hours through post after post concerning this issue I finally found a solution that worked. Not surprisingly I found it here instead of on one of the Creative Assembly forums. Talk about a company that does not stand by its product. In any case, thank you very much.

It my be a hidden file. Change your folder settings and it should show up.
