How on earth do I get more family members?
I am playing as the house of Julia, and I a want to make all my generals of my house so I can finally have the civial war. It is turn 70, and I have 37% Senate while the others have 12% Cornelia, 29% Other, and 22% Junia. The only way seems to be addoption, but I don't want that or i will never be able to get to the civil war because I lose senators. What do I do?

more will be added to the recruitment list.

you could try assasinating generals and such from other families till you've managed to replace them all with your own family.

I should be able to marry off members of my own house....

I seemed to get a general to my family by using the bribe command.

I actually like the politics aspect. It feels rewarding to bribe a young buck to your party.

I didn't start to get into the game's politics until after around 23 Hrs. with the game.

I miss the family tree :( but yes what these guys said will work. Although the Junia seem to breed like rabbits in my game :(

You can, just not faction leaders (playing as Parthia).

Still cant find anything. Not sure how to bribe, and assassinating always just wounds them so I have to put another genral of the same house in his place, leading to even more power.

Bribe only comes up at certain times I believe. I'm pretty sure the bribe command isn't always there.

Bribe is there with all the other commands when it shows up. It is on the same screen as marriage, assassinate etc.

I actually don't think marriage brings a general to your party. You just gain politically from it, I could be wrong.

Maybe Sparta plays differently than Rome, and Romans can't bribe, but I doubt it.

Find a good woman and get her pregnant. 9 months later baby!
