Nope will try now!
Simply select the patch and that's it. If it doesn't download straight away, verify game cache. Or exit steam and start it again.
Honestly, CA's handling of the patches is kind of poor as there's no good in-game indication of what version is installed. The version numbering is off and unreadable for me.
Can someone tell me who KNOWS they have the beta installed (it's on your games 'opt in' option) can you tell me what patch numbers are under your V1.0.0? Thanks!
i click on properties. Select beta 1.5. the only option was to (close) there is no download button...nothing that reaffrims me that it's downloading or anything. ...it's been like this since the first beta...what am i missing here?
It would be good once you select the beta 1.5 something comes out and let you know it's downloaded?
We wanting to know what build it's you have and what patch are you?
We are wanting to get 1.5 beta and either we cant bc it wont download or ppl are unsure if they have it or not. So we just need to know your build number which is under your Version 1.0 at title screen in Rome 2
if beta 1.5 can only be identified by the bunch of 0193284723984 after 1.0.0 then as a GAME DEVELOPER YOU NEED TO LET US KNOW. SO WE KNOW IF IT"S DOWNLOADED OR NOT.
can you please let me know how to verify the game files?
I suggest changing your Library to "Games List" under View. From there you can see if your game starts to update, also at the very bottom of the Steam UI, between "+ add a game..." and "View Friends List", a new item will show up, it should say "1 Item Downloading" or "1 Item Completed" (or something along those lines). You can click on that to view how far along your update is.
If you cannot get it to begin downloading I would suggest changing the Server that you are downloading from in your Steam Settings, turning off AntiVirus real-time protection, turning off Windows Firewall, Turning off UAC and bypassing Router Firewall (if possible). If none of that works you should open up a ticket with Steam support, but they're just going to ask for a MSINFO report and then proceed to tell you that you have software installed on your computer that is interfering with Steam, or they will recommend for a fresh Windows install.
There are some other odd tricks you could try, if you google your problem. People have found success in the past with renaming the ClientRegistry.blob file in your steam folder. Also if steam has become corrupted, support will recommend that you either A) type "steam://flushconfig" (no quotes) into internet explorer. B) Delete everything in your steam directory except for Steam.exe, Steamapps and Userdata folders. You can find all of those troubleshooting tips by googling your problem.
Hope that helps.
