^ You can use that mod, or modify the game files yourself. I set mine to 3 turns per year, seems to be working well so far.
I use 2tpy just to increase some time, but not make my guys like 500 turns old lol.
That said I do feel like Generals don't live half as long as they should. You get around 10-15 fights out of them and then they die of old age.
I wish they would make Generals more... precious. Give them a personality and make them meaningful. I want to be distressed when I lose a general instead of this 'oh well ill get another' feeling I currently have.
Try for 2 turns per year, they might warm up to that idea. Spring/Summer vs. Fall/Winter
In that case you will only need a single snowing of the campaign map, not four uniques.

I enjoyed the tactical sense that came with different weather conditions related to the season.
I dunno but this game feels incredibly bare bones to me.
I am fine for extending tech timing, I just think building ladders for seiges shouldnt take a full year to do, or recruiting entire units in 1 year while conscripting recruits to fill the spaces of an existing unit can take 3-4 years. Account travel time where navy's take 3-4 years to cross an ocean (doubt they brought enough supplies for THAT voyage with 150 crew +) and marching takes ages it just sours the experience for me.
