confederations

so frist off this is asking a actual question about the game for those playing it i dont want a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fest ..
now does anyone know how the confederation work? ive been doing this campaign and knocking of these small one citys factions and i get a pop up that some tribes have formed together and now i have this celtic confederation up north looking further north i find a germenic one has formed is this a tribe only thing? do they group up into one faction is it for a set time?
and if this is an all around thing how does it work and can i do it? i mean it seems to be just a better alliance of being under one banner seems kinda cool

Confederations are made by barbarian tribes. They are made between other tribes who share the "Same Blood". When you look on the diplomacy screen as a barbarian tribe, an option you have with the ones who are of the Same blood, is to join your confederation.

If you are playing a barbarian faction you can get the option to have certain other barbarian factions to join with you in a confederation, which gives you control of their cities and armies. (As in they join your faction.) Non- barbarians and barbarians of a different culture can't join, they can only be conquered. Playing the Greek States, Carthage and Rome allow you to make anyone a client state.

The Barb cultures can form a federation with other tribes of the same bloodline. I have not tried it with the Seubi, but right now I would imagine it would be as successful to attempt as a simple trade offer or a 95% to assassinate a target. Interesting idea anyway.

I've played for Suebi and I couldn't create a confederation, the game just throws me at desktop, when my ally accepted a confederation creation. Do anyone else have this problem?

havent tried it yet though i will try it out later for ya might just be a bug to send in
