Greatest Quote In The Game?
I was just zoomed in on a melee between Athens and Pontus, and I heard "Does anybody recognise this head?"

Has anybody else heard anything like this mid-battle?

I've heard 'FOR GERMANIA!'

Which is a blatant inconsistency with the actual fact that germania was only used by romans.
look at the CA logo then realize you are not going to get much accurate history are you ><
My favorite quote so far is another trait, one of my guys has *homely* as a trait and it says

*My mother loved me... I think*
I was playing Pontus, and heard one of the guys yell out "Hey, we are sorry we were not qa tested, don't look at us ?"
Had a ship firing flaming scorpion bolts onto the shore at some enemy militia hoplites that were standing on the beach.

One of the hoplites in the formations said "I wish they would've never invented siege weapons" as the bolt was flying in the air. A second later the flaming bolt hit the formation right in his general area (judging by the sound of the dialogue), impaling and catching him on fire.

He started screaming and rolling around with this big scorpion bolt sticking out. A few seconds into the screaming one of the other soldiers said something along the lines of "Oh would you shut up already."
wonder how much they saved in cash on skipping QA ^-- & optimization & any other form of testing evidently, new broom ? new people in charge perhaps? disney ? hahah total war does take a lot of brains away from disney infested flith, would not be surprised if CA did get taken over, & the new owners maybe used the CA total war reputaion to cobble a shogun 2 mod & try to pass it off as a new game

Greek/Greece was also a word from romans but in all sandal-movies they say it again and again. 300, Troy, Alexander... All use the word. Those are Hollywood movies and not documentations, so anyone cares

Not the thread for this- there are plenty of QA and moan threads. Stay on topic. :)

The Latin 'Graecia' derives from 'Γραικός' (graikos), one of several ancient Greek words for 'Greek'.

Fun fact for the day: Aristotle used the term to describe the Greeks, so it's pretty legit. :)

Stay on topic, I don't want another flame thread. :(

As far as I'm concerned, that's the winner so far.
Aristotle was around when like here in the 1800s boy fiddling was mistaken for normal behavior, so legit in what exactly ? you dont evenkn if it was relaly him that provided all those quotes & proverbs ^_- hi-story
I really love what they did with the units this time in terms of audio, appearance and movement. They really outdid themselves on that level.

Now the best thing I've heard up until now was something like: "Keep moving men, do not falter. Victory will be ou- *gurgling sound*".

Great one!

I just got another one:

"What are they doing, sir?"
"Shi.tting themselves, lad.... just like you."

Probably sums up the feelings of everyone in the unit.

"I'd ride your wife, but I bet she smells of fish!"
"OOOOHHHRR I'm on fire, it burns!"
We will die today, but we will make them bleed! then my garrason army of 8 cards crush a 40card roman army.
My favourite so far:

Soldier 1: THE UNWASHED BASTARDS ARE FIGHTING BACK!
Soldier 2: Yes, they tend to do that.
