Official realeases fail to work and torrent versions work?

My friend didnt have enough money to buy the game so he decided to torrent it, IT WORKS PERFECTLY FOR HIM. So i would just like to say that Creative Assembily really need to sort these problems out especially since i know there are alot of us that cant even get onto the game (Myself included). Now before everyone says that I'm hating on CA I'm not I'm just really annoyed that my game isnt working and that im not the only one with my problem. I'm going to get hate for this post I know but its just really annoying that we paid for the game and it doesnt work and then someone who doesnt get a working version!!!

And...erm.. your friend.... what is his PC like compared to yours and, also, what settings is he using?

i've got the launcher problem, and we've got the same specs except ive got intel hes AMD
