Thats what I was thinking of but each time I go onto launch options from steam library it says "these options are for advanced users" and doesn't give me anything else. What are you running on?

1. Go into your app data (by running the command "%APPDATA%").
2. Open the folder "The Creative Assembly".
3. Open the folder "Rome2".
4. Open the folder "scripts".
5. Open the text document "preferences.script"
6. The numbers in line 3 and 4 are the resolution; replace them by the resolution you want to run Rome with.
7. Save the document and run Rome.

Worked for me, although I'm unfortunately getting blackscreens in the menu independent from these changes. So don't worry that you make it worse.

If the window is displayed at the wrong position as well, have a look at the lines 5 and 6 in the same text document, i guess you need to change the numbers to "0" and "0" then.

Hope I could help you.

how do you run command app data?
Artemis Sep 3, 2013 @ 7:43am
Press the windows key once so the start menu opens and then just enter the command. :)

okay, so now I can play in windowed mode because I was able to use artemis's idea to change the resoultion to allow me to select windowed, i'd like to play in normal full screen so if anyone has any solution, let me know.

thanks so much
