Why no unlock at 12am ?

it says Rome 2 is unlocking in 20 hours which means for UK players in wont be able to play until 8am tomorrow, usually steam games unlock dead on 12am, is this an error? I was hoping to play this bad boy until the early hours tonight, I have work at 8:30am I cant survive another day without a taste of Rome!!!

I think the release time is based around being midnight for where valve are located.

That's it precisely.. Although developers/publishers can request a time, like EUIV from Paradox got released at 1400hrs BST on release day..

It's also to stop people from using VPN's....

For example....If Australia released on the 3rd, all someone had to do from USA was to connect to a VPN in Australia, Login Steam and Steam thinks its released, updates your Rome 2, and your good to go.....This also means they want no Media/Reviews or anything on El-Pbay before Release.

Where do you find the time that it will unlock, but if it does unlock in 20 hours that means for Australia it will unlock at 5pm/

Yeah I think it's perfect for us EU guys aswell. Wake up, fire up Steam and play Rome 2 while being fresh.
