Rome II Download Size

Wasn't the download supposed to be 30+ GB? I'm currwntly downloading 9.9GB. The only way that could be possible is if they packed it down A LOT. Or will I have to download the rest on launch day?

Must have some damn good software to compress 35GB to less than ten.

there will probably be more. I've only seen the compression half it at max. However i may be wrong

Maybe it'smissing a few files to stop a crack. They mentioned something about the same launcher as Shogun II where you can view the workshop etc. So I would imagine that's what would be missing.

I guess they dont want people do pirate it before realise....like some other games have been becouse of things like this.

I don't know, I doubt it. I imagine it would be pretty difficult for Valve to handle multiple preloads on the same game. I think they just compressed it and we will have an update when the game is released giving us the extra factions along with whatever is required to launch it.

Hopefully we don't have to download the remaning 26 gb tuesday as that would defeat the purpose of a pre load.
