Pre-ordering from Retail Store and Pre-Order Bonus

So I prefer to have a physical copy of my games. Don't ask why, I don't know - but if I have a choice (IE a day 1 buy for me) I always get the physical copy.

So I am going to Pre-order from Gamestop. Now here is my question for anyone who has done this already. When you pre-order from Gamestop it prints the preorder code on your receipt. Do you then come to steam and put that code into Steam or do you put it in somewhere else? Do you put the code into steam now or wait till after launch?

If anyone has pre-ordered from a physical store and knows this info I would be grateful.

You will have to check your purchase again from Gamestop and contact them. Gamestop does have its own game app, that I have used before, that acts like steam. It also provides the key that I am sure Steam will gain activating rights to!

if you buy a physical copy you will probably have to wait for your physical game box to arrive and then put in your CD key.

before you pre order from gamestop make sure they're offering the greek states pack free with the pre order, not everyone does.

Yea Gamestop is offering the City States - The Pre-order Code comes printed on your receipt when ya buy the game. I assume I just put that code into Steam and it activates the pre-order bonus. I was just trying to get confirmation if that is true or not.
