HAHAHAHHA totally!
i was talking about the late game seleucid units, and as far as you getting horribly crushed, make sure your early armies have a somewhat balenced unit mix, pikes are extremely good but you need some other melee units to make sure they dont get flanked, and cavalry so you can hunt down their ranged units
against the AI i use the solid block of pikes in the middle flanked with 2 sword/hoplite units then depending if i have 6 or 4 cavalry using the 4 as one solid block or two groups of 3. They need to do this for best effects.
