Total War: ROME II - Emperor Edition

Total War: ROME II - Emperor Edition

Statistiche:
Boii are horrible. Nervii are Gauls?
Boii faction traits are awful and they don`t have any special units.

(Edit: On further inspection they do have a one sword and spear shared with the Eravisci, the other units they have are shared with other unplayable Celtic factions, like the Celtic bowmen for instance. Yet they do not share "same blood" with any of these neighbors and cannot form a confederation).

And they are grouped in the Gallic tab when choosing factions and in-game they aren`t even of same blood as those Celts surrounding them. It has never been proven that they were gauls or where their origins were from. What happened? Probably gonna get flamed for this and get these massive rants from self-proclaimed historic experts about the validity of grouping them as Gauls.

I accept the Galatians as Gauls, but the Nervii are clearly of the Belgae group. There should a Belgic Tribes tab for Nervii.

Given the laziness of the Boii tribe in this expansion they might aswell start working on Belgic Tribes tab and Celtic Tribes tab right now. Then make some of the well placed Celtic tribes in the Balkans and perhaps Iberia (Spain not Caucasus) playable. Just give them some lazy faction traits and the standard Celtic unit roster, just like you did with the Boii. Patch it in for free and I`d shut up then, I promise. All this poor Viking want is to make myself a Celtic Confederation in the Balkans. Is that too much to ask for?

P.S. Some people are still waiting for the Celtiberian and/or Iberian Tribes, the Dacians, the Thracians and the Armenians. Vascones with their mail veils, heavy armor and ferocity is a much wanted faction. Hell I dont even know if they are in the game as far as I know. It is all taking too damn long given the fact that we have to pay for all it when it comes anyways. Squeezing every single cent out of us Total War nerds.

Edit: Forgot a few, the Illyrians, Bithynia, the Picts?, more of the Greek states, Numidia, Nubians and the Semitic tribes and quite a few eastern ones the like Persia and Media.

this is why I donot support their dlcs, look at "Nomadic Pack" reskinned renamed units, with 1 so called special unit, its a joke. all we can do is pack it up and wait 3 years for the next totalwar and hope its not a fiasco
Hmm, yeah. I was hoping for more response on this thread to be honest. Seems like not a whole lot of people care.
i agree with u op
I browesed through Boii's units and i must say it's basically is a clone of Arverni with less units, the only units that are unique to the faction are called veteran spears and sword followers.

Gallatia has 6 new units but i remember their units being apart of the base game with the unlock all factions mod, so no effort there.

The only faction that seems to redeem this woeful attempt of new playable factions is the Nervii which is a mixture of mostly Arverni and Suebi, pretty cool in it's theme and location and with about 4 units that could be said as unique to their faction and one just other neighbour.

Have to admit i love the game but these new factions were a pis.s poor attempt for something new even though they are a side bonus to what the dlc was focused on. And i also want to know when is this game playable? to the point where i can feel rest assured that i can save my current campaign knowing that the next patch won't completly render those save games unplayable with the new version/patch so i can't continue no matter what.
Iv'e had two campaigns that were half way through and are now just diskspace because the new patch won't let me play them, i don't know whether to bother with the new Caesor campaign because the progress i make might become obselete with the next patch or 2.

You just made me realize a whole bunch of stuff which made me have to edit my OP. Like the fact that they have Celtic bowmen, a unit found among the other Celtic factions. And that they share 2 units with only the Eravisci, yet the are not of "same blood". Lots and lots of strangeness here.
Well, for special unit variety - how about Head Slingers? Always thought that was badass cool. Somebody got to do it, right? Same with Hornet Hive Slingers. Still get a kick from Screeching Women. Point is, CA has dipped into this Well before....
Problem with unit/roster Mods has been for me - that they lack the authority that comes with Playtesting from the Design Team. But lately... that seems to have been a misplaced concern...?
Go for it!
