Gallatia has 6 new units but i remember their units being apart of the base game with the unlock all factions mod, so no effort there.
The only faction that seems to redeem this woeful attempt of new playable factions is the Nervii which is a mixture of mostly Arverni and Suebi, pretty cool in it's theme and location and with about 4 units that could be said as unique to their faction and one just other neighbour.
Have to admit i love the game but these new factions were a pis.s poor attempt for something new even though they are a side bonus to what the dlc was focused on. And i also want to know when is this game playable? to the point where i can feel rest assured that i can save my current campaign knowing that the next patch won't completly render those save games unplayable with the new version/patch so i can't continue no matter what.
Iv'e had two campaigns that were half way through and are now just diskspace because the new patch won't let me play them, i don't know whether to bother with the new Caesor campaign because the progress i make might become obselete with the next patch or 2.
You just made me realize a whole bunch of stuff which made me have to edit my OP. Like the fact that they have Celtic bowmen, a unit found among the other Celtic factions. And that they share 2 units with only the Eravisci, yet the are not of "same blood". Lots and lots of strangeness here.
Problem with unit/roster Mods has been for me - that they lack the authority that comes with Playtesting from the Design Team. But lately... that seems to have been a misplaced concern...?
Go for it!
Sure I`d like head slingers and hornet hive throwers. Never had much of a problem with flamings pigs either. :D
