stuttering
I have been experiencing stuttering when two army sides charge at each other. It seems to only start when botharmies charge at each other, only for the stutter to subsequently die down after the charging has stopped. I even checked my cpu usage, it was only at around 73% while my gpu usage was at 33%, all the while getting that same stutter. also by stutter I mean unit animations looking funny/choppy. On the other hand mouse and camera movement is all the same. This often happens with 2v2 battles, aka all late game battles.

Has anyone experienced anything like this and can give some insight? Anything is appreciated. I really hope this doesnt pass on to attila.

What is your cpu and are you using normal size armies (20 units per army) or are you clicking the box that lets you control large armies (40 units per army)?

Rome 2 is still pretty unoptimized right? Alot better now than before, but not perfect still. I would say its normal, try lowering some settings, experiment with V/Sync, and play around.

I do belive Attila will be alot better, atleast what I've heard from the youtubers that got it early. I'd say i hope for 10-20 fps+ atleast :D

(Late games for me have also been hard...)

Share your specs. I occasionally have the same problem.

Certain times or more like random times i get occasional stuttering, but the tried and true stuttering is siege scenarios full stack on full stack (some times half stacks) climbing ladders is hands down the WORST i have ever seen.

I also use radious mod with 160 soldiers per unit card. In 1v1 battles its all fine and dandy but as soon as its 2v2 or even 1v2 the horrible stutter starts up again. It seems to be the worst when units begin charging tho. Something with ai pathing/decision making?

I notice it will stutter or slow down if you try speeding up at close combat, so I can barely do a small speed foward, so I have to go normal speed, keep that in mind.
