Sorry, ya wee lad, but I'd say around 97% of cities didn't have walls. Do you realize that? No? Well damn, why did I? Maybe because I'm not an annoying, ignorant fool that wants everything handed to them, now, now now! Calm your butt down and be patient. If you won't play a game because some cities don't have walls, then don't play at all. Just quit complaining and leave.
Yep ignorant troll trying to bait me syacuse and jeruslem had walls at the time of the campaign starts and maybe if you werent ignorant you would know that both the romans and carthage couldnt conqour sycuse due its massive walls and defensies well they did have one of the most brilient minds helping them as well (archaimedes) and the walls of jeruslem caused real problems for the romans as well of course they eventually fell but not after defeating sevral armies sent to capture them with disastrouse defeats (rome tryed blocading and seiging sycuse at the same time and still couldnt succeed) sigh ♥♥♥♥ off if you want to be a peice of ignorant ♥♥♥♥ not discussing like a capable human being. just quit complaing and leave.
tbh im more pissed about the bs and flimsy excuse they gave but still they have added cities in the mini campaign like syacuse and jeruslim but still i would of expected an update to the main campain as well instead of them saying flimsy excuses
As much as I appreciate the hard work of the modding community, that doesn't give the Devs a pass or sheild them from criticism. The OP is a paying customer and has a right to complain about a substandard product.
WRONG! in 200 BCE many large / main settlements had walls or some kind of defenses, when enemies are close, you'd be stupid not to have defenses. BUT CA designers have 200 AD in mind when Rome ruled the world.
I firmly believe that this is purely a gameplay decision. Jerusalem is in a region with another capital city, and so is Syracuse. It would make it horrendously unbalanced to have two walled cities in a region. Yeah it might make it historically accurate but Jesus Christ, it's not a deal breaker to freak out over and say you can't play the game. That's an overreaction. It's like going to an italian restaurant and ordering some bolognese, but when it comes without bread on the side you flip out and cause a scene.
I recently watched a let's play video by DarrenTotalWar where he plays the Emperor Edition.
He and others have noted some changes:
1) All minor settlements can now build "palisades". It's not as strong or extensive as a full blown city wall, but it surrounds the town with a basic wall. Think original RTW and the minor settlements.
2) Sicily has been further subdivied into 3 regions now: Syracuse now has city walls.
3) Judea has been redone; Jerusalem will be more developed in Emperor Augusuts campaign and have its own faction.
Going to have to agree!
Not a playable faction though.
This[wiki.totalwar.com] lists all of the playable factions.
