Hannibal At The Gates Ending

Couldn't there have been specific ending cut scenes for each faction? I just finished "Hannibal At The Gates" for the first time and I did it as Syracuse yet the ending cut scene appears to be Carthaginian forces fighting and defeating Roman forces in some kind of epic final battle. I understand that "Hannibal At The Gates" is centered around those two factions but I kind of thought there would be different endings if you chose a different faction like Syracuse and triumphed over both. Feeling a little disappointed since I spent so long taking Syracuse from a single city to the number 1 power in the region capable of trampling any other faction into the dust with ease and yet upon victory Syracuse isn't in the final cut scene or mentioned in any way as so much a fart in the wind in the whole thing.
