How to change faction colors,,,
I'd like to personally edit faction colors. I'm looking for a few pointers on where to start. tried googling my tail off and only found tutorials on how to create new units or to change faction colors for Rome 1 using File pack manager. What do I need to get and are there any good tutorials out there?

If you mean changing, for example, Rome units and banners colors from red to other color then this is how i made it before i read any tutorials:
1.in the PFM press File - Open - your ROME II folder - data folder - data.pack. in the left side of the programs press on the little + to browse the files. the things you need to find are: faction_tables (color of the unit cards) and faction_banner_tables. press "extract selected" and it will make a copy of it on your desktop.
2. create a new mod (Files - My Mods - New). right click - add - directory - browse the copies on your desctop and click on OK. go all the way (for example: db - faction_tables - factions). here you can edit the colors of each faction cards color by changing the code numbers to whatever you want. they are under card_color_r, card_color_g, card_color_b (use RGB codes). after saving it put your new .pack file to ROME II data folder and check it in modmanager.

I am not a modder at all, so there are probably more effective ways (maybe without going to desktop) however this worked for me perfectly

yes thank you. That tells me I was at least on the right track. Trying to change my Carthaginian Uniforms to white/beige/dark purple. I used RGB codes and now about to see if I CTD my game :)

Maybe you have other mods installed. i edited now Pontus colours and it didn't work in the first time because of ancientcolorsv2 mod, which is movie.pack and cannot be disabled by mod manager.
