Waring States Period of China total war?
If China were ever to be made a stage for a total war sequel, I think it should be set in the waring states period rather than famous 3 kingdoms period.

Waring states period, dating back from BC 700 to BC 200, was a time when China was in fuedal age similar to medieval Europe, or better, has been warring for 500 years almost non-stop with a over hundred nations and numerous cultures until Qin dynasty brought the end to this period and united China for the first time history, thus making 'Han Chinese' into single culture group.

For anyone lacking background knowledge of this period, I recommend reading a Japanese Manga Kingdom from here: (http://www.mangahere.com/manga/kingdom/v01/c001/) It's better than One-Piece, and will make you interested in Chinese history like I have become :) Just read it!

There are so many interesting history figures equivalent to Hannibal, Scipio or Caesar of Rome II during this period. I will definitely pay to see this game happen. Since this was also period before Roman empire, a lot of battles also relied on personal bravery as well as tactics. I think that could make a unique gameplay where generals take more roles than a cheerleader.

I can tell it will be at least more diverse and exiting than Sengoku period of Japan, because back in this time frame China was not of uni-cultural land since it's never been unified before. It will have all kinds of diversity with units and faction characteristics. War Elephants of southern tribes, charriot force of Wei, horse archers of northern nomads, mountain people, poison archers, etc.

I dont really see how you can compare Kingdom with one piece. They arent the same at all.
Its like comparing Infamous with Kingdom under fire or dynasti warriors etc.

Its a military manga about the unification of china. while One piece is not.

Kingdom is my favorit manga of all times but damn the anime is the ugliest thing I ever seen.

hahaha sorry I should speak english, well ehhh this translation is not quite right
I am just saying we recorded that time BC 700 to BC 200 as 春秋战国
there was a time we called The zhou dynasty
During that time , there are many kingdoms in China, and they all listen to 周天子 as their overlord
But as time pass by ,they nolonger obey ,war begin.
During 春秋, there is still a zhou dynasty, until their land was taken by qin dynasty.
After that until Qin shi huang become the first emperor of China, we recorded that time as 战国
An age full of war.
Once there are many kingdoms in China during 春秋, in 战国 there are just seven.
they all take many lands from others who were conquered.
So I call them seven wolves just for fun.
After many many years war and chaos, finally Qin shi huang defend all of his enemy.
His army is famous for crossman.

Aaaaaaaaa~~~ I should pay more attention in my English class
there are still many stuff which is hard for me to describe in English

I have not seen many top name games about China considering China is so rich in history with chinese able to trace their descent for 4000 years. Lots of games about Rome and even Japan and India (Rajas of india) get focus. I think theres a translation problem probably, for the reason not many trop range games feature in China

I seriously doubt we will ever see a TW game set in China unless it involves Samurai invading it.
