IF YOU are having prob with mods and game not staring First go to your rome game in steam right click on icon the propertes the browse local files , then go to data , then everything under UI delate then do a verify integrity of game cache where you will find 31 or more files are missing then it will install them and you will find game works , after reinstall make a copy of filies under UI and save for same prob reacuring

go to your steam folder/ steamapps/common/rome II

go to data, and delete any .pack which also has a corresponding .png

now go back to the steam program, and re verfiy your rome II files.

that should do it. - and only install mods that have been updated.

Its working now, I deleted a load of files and then verifiyed the game files, It downloaded 7 files that I had deleted by accident and it launches and plays fine

go to library and "right" click Rome 2..."left" click properties---local files---browse local files and then click "common" in he title bar at the top of the window
open Total War Rome II
open the "data" folder (usually way at the bottom)
mod filles are in the data, and often have a "color" tag, but often not...so read carefully

"dresden_4tpy_mod" is an example
