That Strabo's quote is really ilustrative, and is the reality, 200 years of wars against Lusitani people, one of the most difficult conquests for Rome no doubt (and the longer, as Strabo says)
Apart from the generic siege engines and the coming additional units in the dlc.
Lusitani - 5 melee infantry, 5 spear infantry, 3 missle infantry, 3 melee cav, 1 skirmisher cav.
Arevaci - 5 melee infantry, 3 spear infantry, 2 missle units, 2 melee cav
Syracuse - 1 melee infantry, 7 spear infantry, 1 pike, 5 missle infantry, 1 shock and 1 melee cav, 2 skirmisher cav.
So somewhat limited compared to other factions.
Does anyone know of a mod that adds units and buildings to the iberian/western factions?
Afterall the celtiberians are a mix of native iberian peoples and celtic colonists so they should have access to most of the celtic rooster.
BTW, before the rise of Rome as the greatest western power the celtic peoples spread from iberia, to britannia to the turkish peninsula. The ancestors of the Lusitanii defeated the celtic invaders, at a time when rome was paying them tribute, later on thru colonization the two peoples started to mingle, forming the celtiberian culture.
On the atlantic coast Olissipus was originally a greek(or Phoenician, some say) colony, and there were other phoenician colonies, and there was intense trade with the bitish isles to the north, north africa to the south and greece (demonstrated by the abundance of greek potery). Meaning that the Lusitanii should have access to a decent rooster of warships (not quinquirremes or higher though)
Edit: I read your post wrong Sal, sorry. But I'll leave this up anyway.
