Can I run this well with a Gaming Laptop Asus G750 JH or Alienware 18?

they both would have 4700 Haswell, and 780 GTX Nvidia and 16 gb of Ram up too 32 gb. SSD's. Please let me know because I am looking forward to the game once everything is fixed. I learned my lesson on Empire TW, but after it was fixed and patched up I played alot of hours.

Dude a high end or mid / high desktop pc is always trump the very best laptop. You pay all that for a laptop for one reason only, its portable you can practically carry it around and play your games anytime you want. If this is the case for yourself i would say go for the laptop but remember a desktop can be upgraded most laptops (some gaming laptops can for simple compenents). Its as easy as unplug power cable, pull gpu out (make sure pins unlocked) then install new one vice versa. Thats practically the same for every components except the cpu.

That desktop pc is high end also but im sure your going to pay a hell of alot of money for it since alienware need to account for manual labour costs, shipping of componets to be built etc.

If anyone suggests build your own they need a slap theres a reason why you are asking its because you dont have the knowledge and you want it pre built with a guarantee. Theres other places other than alienware such as overclockers, amazon etc.

Also you need more than one harddrive that ssd is probably a low end one considering its size (probably first - second gen i would be amazed if it was anthing newer) and i would use the ssd for the os only. Have a seperate hdd for games and another for everything else, mechanical hdds are relatively cheap unless you want a 10000rpm one.

I know some of this is technical jargon to yourself but im stopping myself from going any further someone else can step in.

I've built my own desk top before but I like to be able to be mobile. I went to Afghanistan with an Asus g73 and it worked for all the games at that time I had with Steam but, now 2yrs later I am having issues with even Shogun 2 TW. I dont feel bad due to I only spent 1200 on the laptop and it went thru a warzone and back and lasted 3-4 yrs.

'Gaming laptop' is an oxymoro.n, laptops are for work, and school. If you need a laptop for work or school, then get a laptop. If the point of your purchase is to have a platform to play games on then get a desktop. Sure you can play games on laptops, but you pay a premium for lower performance, and a 'gaming rig' is about performance.

yes, you can play everything on extreme settings (the highest settings with all the boxes checked) without any loss of framerate or performance.

Thanks Kayboers. If I go back over seas, I like to come back from a patrol or 24 hour operation and play while Im in the suck. I cant get on a C-130 with a Desktop to my ruck sack. I can place my pelican case on my lap with a smile.

To be honest you can get a mini case in the shape of a square which is half if not a third in size of a mid tower case. The only downside is heating / ventalation if you dont water cool... just a suggestion looks like you made up your mind anyways.

Definitly choose the Asus over the AW.
Alienwares are unreliable and expensive.

Have a look on the Asus Republic of gamers (ROG) website & check out there forum, there will be folks who need to use laptops because of work commitments over there, i am not saying to buy from them, but its worth posting the same question on ROG forum

I play mostly on an MSI GS70 steath since i'm on the road for work alot. I have no trouble running R2 on very high seetings.

Thank you for the hints. Lafferty I can take a laptop case but any other type of bagage is in a ruck sack and a duffle bag. I could mail it to the base but it is more likely to be stolen or I move to many bases and never see it the whole time Im there. I dont mind the extra cost of a Lap top, I just need to see if they will play since most people on the community hub have graphics lat looks like Hills have Eyes characters. I like Asus because I have owned one before, but the AW has option of SLI, but most games it seems dont event utilize SLI as much as it could.
