Spartan Heroes Vs. Royal Spartans

Hi ya'll,

During a battle I decided to click on both units to see what the difference was and it turned out to be nil except for unit count (Royals had 120 units, Heroes had 80) . Is this right?

Heroes of Sparta are cheaper, and cost less upkeep. Their stat differences are insignificant. Essentially HOS is a smaller unit of Royal Spartans that costs less. Statwise, the Heroes of Sparta are better suited for slaughtering cavalry as they get better attack and a bigger bonus vs large targets. They are the kind of crack troops you might want to keep on a flank to impale enemy horses, then wheel around to charge enemy infantry in the back.

As you can only train two of them it makes sense to keep them on the flanks :) Thanks for the info!
