If that doesn't work, i may have found a solution to the crashes related to Patch 9.
My game crashed at startup since Patch 9.
Some other games had this issue aswell so i tried following, with succes:
-Go to %appdata%/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Rome2/Scripts/
(Start > search bar > %appdata%)
-Open: preferences.script.txt
-Search the following (CTRL + F): directx
-You should find the following line:
gfx_enable_directx11 true; # gfx_enable_directx11 <bool>, Enable DirectX 11 rendering #
-Change the "true" to "false", so it looks like this:
gfx_enable_directx11 false; # gfx_enable_directx11 <bool>, Enable DirectX 11 rendering #
-Save and close the file.
-Launch the game, and it should hopefully work :)
То есть открыть текстовиком preferences.script.txt в appdata/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Rome2/Scripts/ и поменять строчку
gfx_enable_directx11 true; # gfx_enable_directx11 <bool>, Enable DirectX 11 rendering #
на
gfx_enable_directx11 false; # gfx_enable_directx11 <bool>, Enable DirectX 11 rendering #
и сохранить. Это должно отключить directx11. У некоторых помогло.
I have found a possible fix to your Total War issues: 1. Goto your steam Library and right click on Total war Rome 2. 2. click on local files and click browse ocal files. 3. go into Launcher folder and right click on Launcher.exe and goto properties. 4. goto compatibility and run in compatibility mode. also check Disable scalling on high DPI settings and Run this program as administrator. Then hit apply 5. goto Rome2.exe and right click on it and also goto properties and goto compatibility mode and run as administrator and then hit apply. then launch Total war and it should be good to go.
