Why are there no Slavic-tribes in this game ?
I mean, they could have at least involved one Slavic-Tribe.

cause the slavic people and such others like the maygars did not come in to play till the huns and attila and even if they were they could have been part of other tibes with different names for example the alans are considered desendents of the massagete its all about time frame

What you are saying doesn't make much sense.

There were many slavic tribes in for example Russia & Ukraine. Long before we know about their specific names.

So I don't get why they wont add 1-2 Slavic-tribes based in Ukraine,Russia or Belarussia.

The map is supposed to represent the limits of the Roman empire at its peak. That said there are quite a few historical inaccuracys in the game. By the Year the game starts Sparta had no war potential, yet you can play as them.

I know that, I am not even asking for historical accuracy...I just find it a bit disappointing that you can find nations which are very close to Russia and Ukraine, but no Slavic-tribes itself... I just would like to play a proper Slavic-Tribe because I am interested in their culture & history.

There might be some in the oringal Rome, or one of its expansions.

Original rome ? I only have this rome, and I am not going to buy some old rome just because there could be possibly some slavic tribes, if I would want to do that, I would just play Total War: Medieval, which includes Slavic-tribes. But no...I am talking about exactly this game.

I see. Just checked and it seems they only added Slavic tribes to the barbarian invasion expansion, which is pretty much what Attila is. There might be a mod somewhere that adds them to this game.

Not appropriate to the time period and the area covered by the map - bear in mind there are plenty of tribes from important places of conflict that were actually named and/or written about in the available sources and still didn't get a look-in, and so have to come under the "umbrella" of a rival tribe from the area. There are still more people from outside the map who do not appear in the game.

According to Wikipedia Slavic tribes make first recorded appearance in the 6th century as "Sclaveni" and "Antae". Several hundred years after Rome II timeline.

The Rus appreared almost a thousand years after Rome, around 9th century.

Alright, Mr. Big Head

First of all, there were no slavic tribe during Rome's time

But there might've been scattered villages that will later turn into the slavic tribes

Cheers

But if they weren't written down, how do we know who and what they were?
