- "Prominent Faction Leader" which gives your Faction Leader a rating with traits which affect diplomacy, party politics, public order, population growth, empire maintenance etc.
- There is also "People of Rome" which gives every playable faction historically-accurate population class systems which is linked to the recruitment of units.
- Lastly there is the "Supply Line Reform System" which allows for the construction of buildings which allow the extension of an army's supply lines in some cases up to 3 regions away from the region which contains that building thus preventing attrition.
These used to be submods which were incorporated into DEI long ago and add more depth to the game and forces the player to have to think about aspects of the game from multiple angles and then plan well in advance for what your next move is going to be either politically, diplomatically, economically militarily etc
Para Bellum is a pretty good one too but is more like a beefier version of Vanilla with lots of sub mods which allows the player to tailor aspects of the game to their personal play style. I tried Para Bellum for a while but for me, going from DEI to Para Bellum is like going from Drinking cofffe back to drinking tea.

Para Bellum is also very good and a bit more modular so you can just enable parts of the mod you want.
Last time I had 5 minute turn times in TW was in EB1 back in 2008 and with crappy PC.
There are many factors to turn time in Rome 2, for example having huge family tree is one of major factors that increase it, due to bad way game calcs gravitas per each character.
Even stuff like having mod installed manually vs subed on Steam has big effect on overall load times as manual install means 2-3 times faster load times.
