Language issue

Hello! I am not sure if this is the right channel to address this issue, but I just bought this game and I initially downloaded in Spanish, but not I want to change the language to English, but for some reason it seems to be impossible to do so, it doesn't matter what I do, re-downloading the game, changing my Steam language to English, or looking for an option to change language on the game, the game just keep being in Spanish. Please if anyone knows how to solve this and let me know about it, I would really appreciate it.

You said you looked for an option to change the language on the game but are not clear about if you found that option or not.

If you were unable to find that option, it is located here:

Right click Rome 2 in your library, then click Properties, and in the General tab you will find the option to changing the language to English.

I may have misunderstood you and you may have already tried that.

You also say that you initially downloaded the game in Spanish but that you also re-downloaded the game. However, you are not clear about what language you used when re-downloading. When you re-downloaded the game did you download it in Spanish again or English?

I may have misunderstood this as well and you may have already re-downloaded in English, but if you didn't and the first suggestion does not work, then I would suggest to re-download in English instead of Spanish and see if that works.

Hello JMTAotP and thank you for your replay! I already tried the option of right clicking on the game , then going to properties and then changing language to Englis, but still the game texts are in spanish.

I also redownloaded the game serveral times, but I don't get any option for selecting the language it just download it automatically in Espanish, I would like to know how I can slect the language when I redownload the game?

I have had the game installed for about 10 years so i'm not sure, maybe I am mistaken and it was never an option to choose language when installing. I believe you when you say it isn't an option so i'm not going to reinstall to test as I assume there won't be an option for me to pick a language if you don't get one.

Is your system language in Spanish or English? If it is in Spanish, try changing it to English and then going to the game properties and changing the game's language to English. If that does not work then try reinstalling the game with the system language set to English, maybe it will force the game to install in English to match your system language.

Thank you for your reply, I already changed my steam language to English, I did the same on the game by going to properties on steam and set English as the game language, also I just reinstalled the game and I noticed the audio is in English, however the interface (texts) is still in Spanish.

You said you changed your Steam language to English but I would like you to change your computer system language to English. If you already changed your computer system language to English (and reinstalled the game) and that didn't work then i'm not sure why you can't get the English language files.

The only other thing I can think of is I can give you the English language files, then you can manually put them into the game folder, and then change the game's language to English and see if that works.
