DirectX®:11
Hard Drive:35 GB HD space
Additional:Screen Resolution - 1920x1080

I know this says recommended, but after DLC and improvements, "Recommended" is actually minimum.

Will your computer run it? Yes.

Run it completely smoothly? Likely with a few tweaks to what is running in the background.

Is it worth it? In my opinion, yes.

If you expect Warhammer, THAT it is not!

Just be sure if you do choose to buy it that you are buying for single player and not multiplayer

One of my favorite Total War games. It's for sure worth it. It has Workshop (mod support) and fun campaigns and dlcs. It's a historical title, so no fantasy stuff like in Warhammer or Three Kingdoms, Troy etc.
This is also reflected in how units behave. Units in Warhammer for example are super tanky in comparison. Rome II also has way better siege combat in my opinion and it has sea combat.

You can easily spend a few hundred hours in this game if you like the setting.

If you had a better PC I'd recommend Three Kingdoms. When it comes to combat Three Kingdoms is probably the best Total War game, even above Warhammer.

Ngl, I feel like Rome 2 is less optimized than the more recent Warhammer games. I can run both of them on ultra settings but Rome 2 has very slight fps drops.

Looks like Rome II gets mixed up with Attila. Rome II’s optimisation is fine, it runs much better than Shogun 2 for instance. Attila on the other hand is absolutely atrocious in that respect. While in Empire you need specific conditions in order for the game to start lagging like hell, in Attila that condition seems to be having more than 3 units on the battlefield. The campaign map lags horribly no matter what. In Rome II meanwhile you can set up a battle with 8 armies 40 units each against each other and it will be perfectly playable aside from the hardcoded animation frame drop.

I don't lag on Rome 2 nor Attila, but yes... both of those game are less optimized than the more recent CA releases. Again, very slight frame drops when I pay attention to fps. Nothing major. I think people with older computers will feel a big difference though.
