they will take attrition.
also it has population system not simplified as rome 1 but divided into 5 classes.
which prevent you from recruiting unless you have enough population.
i don't recommend this mode.

What are you even talking about? I'm currently playing as Rome and have plenty of full stack armies, some of which are in foreign territory and they are not in attrition because:
a) each stack has a baggage train
and
b) I have set up supply line buildings like grain pits and grain silos which extend supply lines.
There are many reasons that an army goes into attrition but having 20 units in a stack is not one of them.
Yes, and that's a good thing......... in my opinion anyway. It makes the game more difficult so that you can't just steamroll over the entire map with ease in the early game. It's features like this that make the game more challenging.
I heartily recommend it.
DEI does exactly the opposit.
Vanilla is better than DEI.
DEI does not improve Rome 2 total war. It makes things worse.
You just want easier, more casual and arcade style game and that is fine but don't claim stuff like that are what mods are supposed to do.
As for original question, DeI and Radious are polar opposites of eachother, where DeI aims at more complex and realistic gameplay with tons of new stuff added to the game while Radius is vanilla turned to 11, so less accurate approach to factions, less realistic battles but also a lot faster gameplay. This lets players pick whatever playstyle fits them most.
i bet you play on normal difficulty.
But yes, agents are broken, hence why they are overhauled in DeI and for example you AI agents cant disband your units as they got whole new set of functions. Curbing agents was one of first things added into DeI.
Once again you are not even describing DEI - you are describing Vanilla. I think you need to give your head a wobble.
I've had the game since mid 2015, have logged over 7100 hours of R2TW and not a single hour was Vanilla...... mostly DEI with a few hours of WoTG and Para Bellum mixed in.
I mean, I am one of DeI leads, been working on it for almost 10 years but it does not mean I havent completed few vanilla and Radious campaign myself.
