DEI is harder then normal campaign. If new play normal first.I do not play DEI but what I have read , you have to do a lot more thinking. You cannot raise armies like nothing. It is based on number of people and their class in society. I have moved on to Rome Remastered I might give it a go if I come back. Please correct if i am wrong.

If you've never played Rome 2 then play vanilla. Get a feel for things and then if you feel like the base game is lacking you can try DeI. It's not for everyone.

DEI is a extremely fun mod to play with. It is all I use and makes it an actual challenge to expand. You cannot just steamroll everyone and battles really do play a massive role in winning the war. Amazing historical knowledge is displayed; it really is a work of art. But if you are a noob you will be pounded by the AI.

What are main differences between the DEI and Radious mod.

Radious allows you to field more armies resulting in 4 stacks of 20 units. personally i find it extremely unplayable due to sheer numbers of stacks AI and the player maintains.

So in DEI total armies much more limited due to the manpower needs for classes of units?

Well DeI and Radious are pollar opposites of eachother.

But in general, DeI aims to be more for history fans, with lots of research done for factions and units, military reforms, regional units, population system, supply system, overhauled combat, new factions and much more.

DE now has a ton of mods in the workshop. Type in"All DE Mods ' and knock yourself out.

Is it just in the DEI that Julia and Junia have only one general to recruit at the Rome campaign start without penalties with the Senate?

Seems like all the politicians are Papiria? Go to hire and all three are from that group. Is this random? wtf

It shouldn't really matter. Just as long as you know how to play the game, you can manage the politics screen. There are many aspects to this game but it just takes time, effort and attention.

My Preferance too. but you may raise new generals and admirals and senators through marriage, bribery, and rotation of candidates by hiring senators for other factions without giving them commands, thus ushering in eventually persons from your faction that can be hired as senators or generals/admirals.

I don't normally like to respond for other people but I think I get the gist.

It's generally advised for DEI players, both new and experienced, to play on normal campaign difficulty as it the most balanced level to play (I can attest to this being true).
