My Antivirus program detect launcher as a virus and can't play

Yeah so i was going to play some Rome 2 because i love going back to the different titles once a year. So I was just starting up the game and it was some sort of error message, my antivirus program pings and say that the launcher file was detained. I googled the "idp.alexa.51" on google and it said it was a false positive.

So... anyone else have had problems with Total War since the new launcher came?

Right click the game in steam, go "properties", "betas", and select ""launcher release candidate".
Do the update, and run the game.

I did and did not work.... I have no mods, all delete and still appear 3 to deactivate although the launcher does not show.... What a disgusting service.

The old launcher works fine, sounds like you've got that old mod bug though.

Scroll down in the steam window for Rome II, and locate "browse workshop".
On the right hand side of the window you'll see "your items", hover over that, and find "subscribed items"Click that, then locate "unsubscribe from all", and click that.

Then that isn't the old launcher, it's the new one. Those aren't mods, they are game files.
It's a bug. Just ignore it.

But now I can not play with mods......than you anyway...

Well I don't understand. No one else has had this problem. Are you sure you tried the old launcher?
