DEI buildings
So if I started a new game as Rome in DEI how would I determine what to build...

Its my first turn in Latinum for example, in Asculum it says trade gets 6% increase, so should I build a trading port here? Or should I jsust make it a fish market for food?
The agriculture bonus is only 3% but early on you need food, right?

In the entire province of Latinum on turn 1 I can expand, what should I build after I expand each region?

In Magna Gracia I built a villa (will be wheat farm) in Beneventum, and consecrated ground in Cosentia (will make Jupiter temple)...

Not exactly sure how dynamics go in DEI, but in base game it is good to specialize and optimize. But you might want to build fishing port first, because food is very important, like it is in real life. +3 food surplus is not good, better have like +10 food surplus buffer, later even more, like +50. Surplus food should increase growth and you don't get sudden famines as easily when things happen in the map.

You can transform the fishing port to trading port later in game when you have have good provinces specialized in making tons of food.

There's many ways to tackle it, but think in terms of planning for the future. Short version is you need public order, culture conversion, counter squalor and food. I'll give you my own take on the early game moves.

For example in the roman case I tackle the problem early on by getting a Delicatessen (upgrade from public forum) and villas in settlements for food. Can also add one temple per region (since it'll give culture and later region wide sanitation) From there its more personal preference, such as booting pop growth.

Hope that helps, this is in no way the meta or anything. Just a way to tackle it, can seem intimidating at first for sure.

Yes, it is a good read and I made sure to bookmark it! But it doesnt help with my problem :(

My issue is figuring out what to build first, this guide only shows the final layout of a province... Im trying to figure out what I should build and in what order. I dont have all plots developed, all techs and buildings available etc
So my issue is early game what takes priority, food/growth/culture and how do I accomplish it.
