This mod helps with fps if it is any use to you though, it works.
I've been testing the load time with the campaign start, with my most recent test taking almost 8 minutes to load, and it seems to keep hovering around 8 minutes despite me removing mods. Vanilla runs completely fine of course, so I'm not sure what's going on. Radious is my primary mod with a few others like TTT and things that change up the game a bit or add extra units. I put the game on high priority with task manager to maybe get extra CPU to it? Still doesn't help. I also get a black screen and not responding while waiting, but eventually it loads. Is this a common thing and mods don't really work now without waiting for long load times or is there something I can fix?
DEI slows down turn time but I have never had R2TW take 8 min to load with any mod I have used.
I didn't really like Radious & have not played that mod since its early days so I cant say if its normal to that mod sorry.
Sounds good, I'll mess around with it more tomorrow, thanks for the help so far.
It could very well be slowing down with several mods making up that 6 min, if that is the case choices will have to made as to how much load time you are willing to trade for content.
What kind of drive have you installed this on btw?
Yes that is clear, and very unfortunate. What I want to know is how some people are able to run dozens of mods perfectly fine without performance losses like mine, is it just a luck of hardware parts or something they did to edit their game files? I've been reading about how updates to the game over the years have caused all sorts of weird issues when it comes to modding. It's really frustrating that this game doesn't handle the mods well, but Attila does.
