Slow loading to campaign. Mods.
Hello!

I have the game installed on an SSD and whenever I load the campagin map, either from a battle or from the main screen, it sort of halts a bit into the process for a few minutes before continuing. Does anyone know what's going on?

Battles load almost instantly.

What can I do to improve loading speeds?

Thank you for your time.

The reason why it takes soo long to load is that Steam mod folder is in different location so when game has to load files, it has to juggle them through various folders. Once all is in Data folder, it can shorten load times even 2-3 times.

By any chance do you know whether I move the mods to that folder the on-going campaigns will still work? Thanks in advance.

Yes, nothing will break. Files are the same, just their loading location is easier on game. This is especially important for mods that have lots of scripts, for other effect might be smaller.

Just wanted to say thank you again, Kam. You saved my campaing and gameplay. I've tried it now and it works wonders, no more slow loading. Gave you some points for your help.

I've just tested it as well and the campaign loads much faster. Thanks again, Kam. Some .PACK files of the mods were already in the data folder, is it normal?

Given that they are already part of the game I guess it's not possible anymore to activate and deactivate them anymore through the Mods Manager tab and it's necessary to delete the file in the data folder, right?

Nevermind, I have checked it out and it's still possible to activate and deactivate them through the Mods Manager tab. With 24 mods now my campaigns load in a few seconds, as if it was a vanilla campaign, amazing.
