The most important thing is to keep some units back for a final wave of your own to defeat the last enemy wave, especially making sure to save at least one Velites with full ammo to take out the elephants and shoot the Sacred Bands in the rear.

Very nice. Is there any video or suggestion for other historical battles. Like the battle of Raphia or Pydna.?
I will re-try, most of your moves i already done
you open one more breach and use better the velites :)
No ;)
Only a fan
No, but there is no reason why I can't make some. Any of them are beatable on Legendary with the probable exception of Alesia.
There are a few guides and videos on how to beat the historical battles in previous patches going all the way back to 2014, but even some of the old ways of cheesing them no longer work due to reasons ranging form the removal of spaghetti lines to changes in AI behavior. Even some of my own old ways of beating the battles no longer work, as I found to my dismay when I went to play through Pydna again. So due to the plethora of outdated information I think I should just record all the historical battles on the latest patch and make a guide of my own.
I look forward to this!
