Not normal, anything below 280 fps is garbage. Your PC sucks...

So my PC sucks? lol dude its the 8700k with the GTX 1070 testing on high end settings. The benchmark worked for warharmmer 1 and 2.

This game is unplayable.

Hundreds of thousands of players say that that's incorrect.

I ran the benchmark in Warhammer and the FPS was normal so that's qutie strange, unless of course Rome II demands a very Super heavy GPU to run it.

Or Rome II still needs a optimistion patch.

TW:R2's performance bottleneck usually isn't the GPU; it's the CPU. TW:R2 is an older 32-bit game that was built to utilize one core primarily. Since TW:WH1/2 are newer games that can more effectively utilize multiple cores, the CPU is less of an issue in those games even though they might have more things going on in them.

Therefore, I wouldn't compare benchmark scores in TW:R2 to ones obtained in TW:WH1/2.

Now, as for your original comment, do you have a screenshot of the benchmark results page? Exactly what are your graphics settings? Are you in the beta or using a different version?

Thanks, but when I asked for graphics settings, I meant the in-game settings. "high end settings" doesn't provide enough detail to evaluate the benchmark results.

Like I wrote though, "high end settings" doesn't mean anything.

Edit: Do you mean the "High" preset or "Very High" preset? If so, why not use a more detailed preset?

Have you tried Vsync on?

lol my PC has the same CPU and a better GPU and I do not get 200+ fps.

You're playing the game in a low resolution on minimum settings. Or there's a bug.

Frankly if your option settings are anything like maxed out you should never ever even see 70fps. I have a 1080, I get 70 sometimes in the benchmark, can break down to 49 thou for soem seconds.

Rome 2 is absolutely pathetic optimization wise.
