Need more characters from other noble houses
So I think the family tree is a great addition that should had being in game since the start, but it brought me a problem... while my family keeps growing and growing, the other noble houses doesn't seen to expand at all in a natural way and "buying" new characters from them later own become absurdly expensive. I try to marry ever male from the other familys and favor using them as generals and governors, but now way after turn 200 is almost impossible to keep the senate balance in the middle since more and more people are added to my family and less and less to the other houses.

Any solution? I'm using DEI mod but I don't think it have anything with it.

Del is a great mod but has some problems makeing it in the long run unplayable as you are restricted from paths you could take with other mods. Unless hes fixed thoese problems its been a while for me and these new patches make the game worse. The family tree sucks in general and you should see if you can get a mod that removes it or find a way to go back patches. If you figure that out let me know. Family tree should of been in the game from the start yes but the one they added is so horrible I dont want it.

Well, if you havent played it in a while, we hope you would consider retrying DEI, since the problems you encountered are most likely no longer present. And in regards to the 'resticted paths' that make it unplayable, I am very curiousto know what you are refrencing. The DEI team has always been more than willing to discuss and consider any feedback and suggestions, so feel free to vist us on the TWC forums as we'd love to hear from you!

Yeah, family tree always was something I loved to roleplay in Total War games, especially Europa Barbarorum mod for RTW1 and MTW2, but this implementation in RTW2 is very bad because how unbalanced it is... your noble house is the only true family popping out new members and you have to buy from the others, but since you family end with so many people the price for new politicians go sky high...

About DEI, I don't think it's a issue with the mod. Apart from that family tree problem I have no issue at all in almost 300 turns now. In fact even at the earliest versions of the mod it already was so much better than vanilla that whatever was broken in DEI was even worse in vanilla (remember launch/earliest patches CAI and battle balance? Oh, god...). DEI team already did wizardry in my opinion to make RTW2 fun, but unfortunately there isn't much you can do when the game isn't really mod friendly, have some hardcoded bad features and a couple of engine bugs. If you hadn't played in a while I totally suggest you to try it now, I really like it.

you can get a wive for your noble generals and when he dies the wive will still be there. you can then marry her off again and get a new general this way.
i know its a bit of an exploit but it works

Wait... if I marry her, her husband will be of her noble house, not mine!? If that's how it works it's actually a very good suggestion, thanks, I will try it out!

ehm i dont mean marrying them to already existing characters but using the little ring button on the bottom left corner of the political actions menu. this creates a new character who will be part of the same faction as the spouse and will stay even if she/he dies

Yeah, I understood. I just didn't knew I could also marry women from other factions like that. It's really a great tip!
