Some devs said in the official forums that there could be future updates, nothing specific or officialy confirmed of course. I guess that in the end of the day it depends on how well the new DLCs do and the number of people that keeps playing the game.

Maybe. To my knowledge CA haven't said if they're done with Rome 2 yet or not.

I can't think of any culture packs which could still be added besides extra British\Germanic factions but more campaign packs might be possible.

Meh I hope not, the limits of this game I think have been met.
Idk if it was my difficulty setting or Sagas was better coded or something but the AI in Rome 2 remains terrible while Saga's AI actually doesnt charge their general/cavalry at first chance

They should stop milking this game. CA never adds anything interesting anymore and you can see that in Thrones of Brittania and Rise of the Republic. The AI is still terrible as ever and there's either no challange, or it's impossible to win with 4 neighbouring factions teaming up on you.

Your guess is as good as anyone else's OP.

All we can say for sure is there's another Hotfix Patch coming sometime soonish.

Personally I hope this isn't the last DLC, as Rome 2 is one of my favourite games and just keeps getting better and better in my view. Plus there's a lot of history from this period they haven't covered yet.

All the Best,

Welsh Dragon.

A barbarian invasion dlc set in 363 or around there (the time frame from the barbarian invasion).
Please dont tell me again that i must buy Attila for this...

An Alexander DLC will be nice, that's for sure.

But I'm hoping for a future standalone title for bronze age. Troy Total War maybe?
Runertje550 Aug 24, 2018 @ 4:41am
That was what I was thinking, all of the Gallic, Germanic and British factions are the same, same units, same aggression, same buildings, everything, so a culture pack of them would be nice.

An Alexander DLC would also be amazing, just as Troy.

But Attila TW is pretty much Barbarian Invasion 2 though.

yup thats attilla. and attilla until rome II ai is fixed is still better then rome II.
rise of hte republic is as difficult as well... but it has to be a bug or messy aggression towards rome is too much.

The constant civil wars are kinda annoying, plus your own kid even leaving to create his own faction like???

They should stop focusing on this game and focus more on attila

Whilst we cannot be sure they will produce more DLC, we can be reasonably sure on what the limits of that DLC will be if they do produce it.

1. They will not drastically alter the Grand Campaign as this will be too complex and time consuming for a small studio (Sofia) on a small budget.

2. They will not produce a vast, standalone-game-worthy DLC campaign like Alexander for the same reason that it wouldn't be cost effective.

3. Anything they do produce will be a very modest tweak/ expansion of current material; preferably a small quality of life improvement (such as Power and Politics/ Ancestral) along with a mini-campaign that requires as little work as possible. This campaign will either tweak the same GC map (IA/ ED) or take place in its own bespoke, small-scale, cost effective locality (WoS/ RotR).

I am not being cynical here, just pragmatic about the future of my favourite game. Any future improvements we see are going to be small-scale tidbits, which so far have been very good tidbits, but don't go expecting CA to release some massive new campaign pack. Their new content team don't have the budget for it.

Expect another focussed, modest offering for a modest price.

I would personally like to see Greece get some love. A Rise of Macedon campaign narrated by future Roman historians fascinated by Philip/ Alexander would be interesting.

Something else I would like to see is some proper unique features for the Celtic factions, and maybe their own mini-campaign too (I dislike calling them 'barbarians' - such a derogatory term!).
