Where do mods get downloaded to?

Hey all,

I am aware they changed the folder where downloaded mods go to, to "Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\214950", but all I can find are maps with the Mod ID and a file called "(number)_legacy.bin".

Anyone have any idea where the .data files go? I'd like to get into modding and want to learn by example.

Should be in one of the other folders. Some mods I think haven't updated, so will still be in the data folder. I don't know why they go to some weird random sounding folder now, but you're better off just moving whatever you want, or change yourself, to the data folder. It still works the same.

Thank you for your reply - I checked all folders in \214950 but either it's an old .pack file or it's a .bin, I can't find the mods I just downloaded from the workshop in .data form however.

Or did you mean somewhere else with "one of the other folders"?

No, that is what I meant.

It's stupid I know. Some mods still go to \steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\data though
so you might want to check there.

Gosh I'm ashamed, they are actually in the data-folder, thought I checked there. Thank you for your time and responses!
