Could I Run this?
With the sale going on, I have been looking at getting a newer version of Total War. I tried Attila but that didn’t work out. Now I’m looking at Rome 2. I was wondering if I could run it? I heard Rome 2 is better optimized than Attila, but I would still like to be sure before I buy even with the refund policy

My specs-
8th Gen i5
Intel UHD Graphics 620
8 GB RAM

Thanks!

Probably, but eventually your machine will struggle...... in your case you still need dedicated video card with dedicated video memory (Radeon or GTX).

These integrated intel cards don´t offer resources a heavy game like Rome 2 demands. Save your money for upgrading your hardware instead.

Its a 32 bit programme so will never use more than 4gb ram on a 64 bit OS. All those people with 32gb of Ram and 8gb graphics cards, its pretty much wasted on this game. So your ram is way more than enough.

Your i5 will be fine as a processor.

But yeah, you really need a dedicated graphics card to get along well with this game and its warscape graphics engine.

Well I can run Empire and Napoleon at 60 FPS. I also compared the minimum graphics card to mine, and mine was better. However I don’t know if minimum means like 10 FPS or 30. Maybe I should just get the original Rome...

Yes I know I can do that but the reason I don’t want to is because it would waste a lot of time. For some reason it takes around 2 hours to download an 11 GB game for me. I don’t really want to was that time again like I did with Attila.

If you couldnt run Attila, you wont run Rome 2. They both use TW Engine 3 and warscape graphics engine and are fairly similar games. Although Rome 2 is slightly better optimised their isnt much in it.
