No available general for 6 turns..

How am I suppose to proceed? The secessionists are taking region after region, I don't get any new general to build an army. I have money, I have technology, but for some reason, no generals come available...

Yes, including a mod that overrides imperium requirement, so that isnt it.

It might still be it if the mod wasn't updated. The 4TPY mod I was using prevented the desert kingdoms from showing up in the selection menu when the mod wasn't updated so a mod might affect things you don't expect.

It's not bugged, a mod you are using is most probably interfering

I have the same problem, 10 turns have passed without any avalaible general and 30 since the last time I had 3 available generals. I hope this situation ends soon. I'm a bit concerned, I have all my armies in the border and in case of civil war I have nothing to defend the core of the empire. I'm not using mods and also think that this is a bug.

Try not to get them killed. Good generals dont grow like mushrooms

No, I hardly could find a thread talking about this problem, I think this is the only one.
I tried verifiying the integrity of the archives but aparently all are ok. I'm thinking about remove the last patch but I don't know if this can damage the saved game. If I find a solution I'll write it here.

Get rid of the mods you idiot. You don't use mods for a beta that is then also updated again and again. The mods break all kinds of things and that causes all kinds of other things.

Sometimes when I use a mod back in the days I wouldn't be able to press the button for raising an army or I couldn't choose a skill anymore.
