No civil war mod
It's wrecking my campaigns and sucking the fun out of it. Just when things get good half my armies defect, cities defect it's a pain in the ass.

So just looking for a mod to remove it or something that changes things so secession never happens.

Saw a few on the workshop but comments say they're out of date, I'm running emperor edition, I assume the latest version I only downloaded it 3 weeks ago.

You have 57 hours of gameplay so you are pretty newbie man, that's why you find this challenge difficult

When you get better, you will pray for even more challenges than the ones already in the game, trust me!

Try to manage your other parties, don't neglect other generals. Do marriages, promote rivals, secure loyalties via money, do "edicts of love" in rival owned areas if need be, win battles with rival generals too-not just your own.

It's true I didn't manage the politics at all during the campaign I just quit because civil war messed it all up for me. Faction politics seemed needlessly complicated and not particularly interesting so I ignored it.

I don't want to get much deeper into another campaign and have it all ruined by half my empire being divided up. Even if I was able to re-take it, it just isn't fun.

Are there any up-to date mods that will remove civil war completely ?

Try doing a few shorter starting games and getting more of a grip on the mechanics. Sometimes bigger 4* games are best learned with a few short getting started games which you don't complete, but let you play around with the mechanics and learn the intricate nature of different parts a bit more. Experiments if you will.

It also means that you're now in a better position to read advice and even videos on youtube to get a bit of a tactical edge. So if I were you I'd head over and see how the political system works. IT's not too complicated, it just seems like that because you're not familiar with it.

Play Empire Divided as Rome and get protection from Civil War for most of the campaign. Meanwhile you can still engage and learn politics
