Moving save files from between computers - Mac to PC
Hi all!

I've been stuck on a macbook for ages suffering through "low settings" and 15 fps, but finally took the step and bought myself a proper rig! Problem is, the save file I have has not been transferred. Don't know if this is because it was from the mac version or if it's just not on the steam cloud.

Anyone have experience with this? Would love some help

Thanks!

Hey man, I remember the days of using the old mac (horrid thing could hardly run on battles). but yes I had a similar problem, I'm not sure why tho. The only thing that I can think of to get around this is to download the save file onto a usb and uploading the save file onto your new computer.

Thanks! Can't seem to find it the saves in the gamefiles though. Any idea where they are located on Mac?

IDK Mac, but if it has "hidden" files try "%appdata%">"The Creative Assembly">"R2"...and therein is a save file (for PC on Win 10, at least)

EDIT: googlre"Mac Rome 2 save_games location." Just before shutting down last night I did this, out of curiosity,, and there popped-up a dozen hits...so, who knows...one may help you.

Found it, manually moved it to the PC and everything works now! So for anyone else having this problem in the future, you CAN move save files between mac and PC versions.

The problem was that in their infinite wisdom, Apple has decided to make the library folder hidden (and thus also hiding all the program files, mods etc), so actually finding them was a bit of a pain, but very doable.
