Yeah! They have random characters appear with the name "Publius Cornelius Scipio" but they are random scipios. Africanus has a unique appearance and only appears in HatG

One of the not that well documented features of Rome 2 is that certain historical figures can appear available to recruit at around the right dates for them to have existed historically while playing as Rome or Carthage in GC. I've never actually used this feature, because I generally play other factions. But it's definitely still there, as the patch notes for Power & Politics includes:

"Fixed the time windows during which several historical characters would appear to better match their real birth and death dates."

Not sure if Scipio Africanus is amongst them, but he might be. He might even have his unique appearance, as I think they are meant to have done that for some of them.

All the Best,

Welsh Dragon.

This is true. For example Gaius Marius always appears when you do the reforms (or when the date is right), but havent seen scipio... :-(
