How to force game to run DirectX 11 in Windows 10
Does anyone have a solution to force the game to run in DirectX 11? I've spent quite some time googling solutions without much luck. Some search results point to older versions of the game or another title of the total war series.

There is no option in the launcher to select DirectX11, nor is there an option to select DirectX11 in the graphics options inside the game. Changing the shader version does not seem to solve this issue.

Currently I can add "-dx11" in the command line which I believe forces DirectX11, but then disables all the Mods during the game.

System:
Windows 10
Ryzen 3700U
Vega 10 graphics
16GB ddr4 2400 ram
512GB nmve m.2 SSD

Because the game doesn't support it, you cant.
Can you even run this game with those specs??

The game runs quite smoothly in battles at medium settings, 1080P
It's possible that you're using DX11 and just don't realize it.
If you use MSI Afterburner, you should be able to see what version of DX TW:R2 is using on your system from the On Screen Display (OSD). Or, you could use Process Explorer to determine what libraries were loaded with the game.
