Rome 2 Battles Computer AI controlled reinforcements and player controlled main army same team
In older total wars if your large main amy which you controlled was in a battle and you had other large amies as reinforcements the AI would control them in Rome 2 they just spawn but wont move unless you as the player move them.

I would rather the AI move them even if they are more stupid or give me the option before a battle to have me control everyone which is how it is by default or let the AI do it.

Where is this mod?

Thanks

Already in the game, kind of. When you group units together by pressing the letter 'G', you can also group them into an AI controlled unit. In battle, select a group of units and in the 'group selection tab' you'll see a group AI Attack/Defend option. If you pick the AI attack, you have to click on an enemy unit for them to attack, but the AI will take over from there and the group won't all attack the same unit. They'll attack which ever unit is closest to them. At least thats how it looks to me.

That sounds cool I had no idea and that is better than nothing of course.I have never tried that or even looked at that before.I got used to having to control them all myself but in some situations I would prefer it was the AI.

I still dont see why they dont give us both options from the start it is just better overall.I get why they took it away because some players think the AI would act stupid with our reinforcements which would be true sometimes but some times it was better too.

#1.You control the max amount of your troops and only you can move them. The same with all reinforcements.

#2.You only control your main army and all reinforcements are AI controlled.

What you are saying is a compromise but they just needed to add that into a box we can check before the battle.

Thank you though I will for sure try it.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
