Wiping out a political party
In my campaign I had a party with traits that meant they always had negative loyalty. They became a pain in the backside, so I decided to see if I could destroy the party.

Assassinating the last playable member of the faction just auto-spawned another guy to replace him, so that didn't work. The purge party option never seemed to work either.

So does anyone know if theres a way to destroy a political faction?

Provoke them to trigger a secession.

This, and be sure to replace any political affiliated generals with your own, and position armies near provinces under the other political party’s control so you can take them back fast.

I lost 3 armies because of secession, I almost threw my computer against the wall.

I was playing as Saxoni and the pain in the arse seahorse clan was doing their things, and being general ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. At around turn 90 these guys go into a sucesison (I only had one army in gual which was top tier the gedriht things and everything). I let them keep one city far away from me (made a faction join my confederation) and now I am protected from seccession from now on.
