so as a faction, i dont think palmyra a pushover, but the location and initial diplomatic status makes it hard for the ai.
playing as palmyra though is awesome :)
hope this is in any way usefull.
It's a shame I would have liked to see Aurelian do better even if it meant giving him some cheats so hes more likely to win against the other AI.
Yes which is why I always fear a big group of smaller factions united in hatred than one large AI faction. The big ones always leave gaps and dont field enough armies while a group of small factions will have 2 large armies each and try to overrun your settlements.
For this reason Sassanids in Attila were always strong if the player was not there to check them thanks to their legions of satrapys. And its the same thing now with Empire Divided excpet no White huns to raid them. Sassanids are pushing into egypt and asia minor in my Gallic Rome campaign!
